Oled Display Module For Arduino. How to choose a computer monitor? Today’s mainstream monitors range in size from 23 inches to 34 inches, compared with 17 inches in ancient displays and an oversized 49-inch screen with a 32:9 ratio on the ROG.
Note that I’m talking about inches, not inches, so don’t mix it up.
Then why use inches, because the TV was first made by the British, and since then the screen size has been used in this unit.
The inch here refers to the diagonal length of the screen. If it is known that 1 inch = 2.54 cm, the mathematical knowledge of Pythagorean Theorem learned in the second grade of primary school can be used to convert the length and width of the display.
Take the 27-inch 16:9 standard screen as an example, the calculated screen is about 60 cm long and 34 cm wide.
If it is a 34-inch 21:9 belt fish screen, then the display screen is about 79 cm long and 34 cm wide, so the 34-inch belt fish screen is equivalent to the elongated 27-inch 16:9 monitor.
Because of portability, laptop screens and handy displays are much smaller. Notebook screens and handy displays are mainly 12 to 17 inches, while tablets are even smaller, at 7.9 to 12.9 inches.
Resolution represents the number of pixels on a screen and is used to measure the sharpness of a screen.
Generally speaking, the more pixels, the clearer the natural display. You should all have heard of the parameters that describe the resolution, such as 720p, 1080p, 2K, 4K, 8K.
The standard 1080p screen resolution is 1920 to 1080, where 1080 represents the number of pixels in the vertical direction of the screen, and 1920 represents the number of pixels in the horizontal direction. Multiplying the two numbers, there are 2.07 million pixels on this screen.
Some 21:9 display with fish screen resolution of 2560 to 1080, it also calls itself a 2k, in fact, it is also a 1080p screen, just the screen extended to 21:9 ratio.
Standard 2K screen generally refers to 2560 to 1440, I usually think that vertical pixels above 1440 can be called 2k.
The 2K fish screen at 21:9 should have a resolution of 3400mm 1440.
The resolution of a standard 4k display is 3840mm 2160.
The resolution of the standard 8k monitor is 7680 to 4320.
However, some friends should wonder why the 1080p computer screen display feels less delicate than the 1080p mobile phone screen.
Another metric, PPI pixel density, is introduced here, that is, the number of pixels per inch screen. The 24-inch 1080p screen is 93ppi, but the 6-inch 1080p phone screen is 300ppi, which is the direct difference in the fineness of their display, because although they all have a resolution of 1080p, the number of pixels per unit area varies according to the screen size. The larger 24-inch screen, the larger each pixel on the screen, so there will be a stronger sense of graininess, and the sharpness of close-up viewing will be worse, so the larger the screen should apply higher resolution to have a better display effect.
For example, a 24-inch screen can barely accept 1080 resolution, while a screen over 27 inches should be at least 2k resolution.
A video is a dynamic picture obtained by continuously playing photos. The screen refresh rate refers to the number of photos continuously played on the screen in 1 second, so the higher the refresh rate, the better, but the higher the refresh rate means the higher the cost, so the mainstream screen is still 60HZ.
High refresh rate screen generally refers to 90HZ, 100HZ, 120HZ, 144HZ, 165HZ, 240HZ, 300HZ.
The most common ones on computer monitors are 144HZ and 165HZ.
90HZ and 120HZ are common on mobile phones.
High refresh rate for brushing information flow and quickly changing the perspective of shooting games will bring a very large fluency improvement, and resolution, is a very important indicator.
In the mouth of my players, the refresh rate screen of 2K and 144HZ is usually called the Little King Kong screen.
